Wassily Kandinsky

1866 - 1944
1925/26 Move to Dessau. Nina and he first live in Moltkestraße 7. The first edition of the magazine "bauhaus" is dedicated to Kandinsky, as well as an exhibition for his 60th birthday, his theoretical work "Punkt und Linie zu Fläche" (Points and Lines in the Plane) appears.
1927 Called to the Bauhaus in Weimar by Walter Gropius. Teaching in the murals workshop; course "Analytical Drawing" and teaching "Abstract form elements".
1927/28 Public painting class at the Bauhaus. The Kandinsky couple get German nationality. Stage performance of Mussorsky's "Pictures at an Exhibition" at the Friedrich Theatre in Dessau.
1933 Following the permanent closure of the Bauhaus, move to France at the end of the year.
